Description
Continuous emission measuring
A range of continuous emission measuring equipment from Siemens provides standardised and modular ways to keep an eye on your gas analysis. We are also happy to provide solutions for dust and opacity measurement and volume flow measurement. For a list of recommended solutions, see the products below, or send an email to process instrumentation team directly.

Set CEM 1 (Continuous Emission Monitoring)
This market demands a complete system that is designed especially for this application. With Set CEM 1 (Continuous Emission Monitoring) Siemens offers standardised systems that fulfil the requirements from sampling probe through the sample conditioning system to the gas analyses.
Provided as a standard setup, the Set CEM 1 is a singular design built to cover all key bases. For the element of modularity, see below.
Set CEM CERT
The complete tested modular measuring system consists of the sampling probe, the heated sample gas line, a two stage sample gas cooler, a gas pump and up to 3 continuous gas analysers: ULTRAMAT 23, ULTRAMAT 6, OXYMAT 6, and/or SIPROCESS UV600.
The Total Mercury Analyser System HM-1400 TRX
HM-1400 TRX is a measuring system for fully-automatic and continuous mercury analysis in flue gas stacks gas by measuring mercury vapor (without wet chemistry). The system uses the extractive measuring principle and includes sampling probe and sampling line.
Dust and Opacity Measurement
Dust removal systems are standard equipment at cement plants, among others. Electric or fabric filters are made use of to comply with legally stipulated dust limits in exhaust gases. Siemens optical dust and opacity measurement devices ensure compliance with the limits and also monitor the effectiveness and functionality of filter systems.
Volume flow measurement
Depending on the composition of the exhaust gas, temperature, stack diameter, and pressure conditions, etc., different measurement methods are used to determine volumetric flow and exhaust gas velocity in industrial exhaust gases: the impact pressure method or ultrasonic technology.
Emission Data Management Systems
The Emission Data Management System is integrated into the key emission monitoring tools. For continuous recording, long-term storage, computation and visualisation of environmental and process data the system is flexible and scalable. It satisfies measurement-data logging requirements stipulated by the authorities, according to German and European regulations.
